Katie Gutierrez Miller founded Assistant Match in 2007 to help busy professionals meet and work with the right virtual assistants. She had experienced first hand how effective the remote support relationship could be, and was frustrated hearing her entrepreneur friends complain about the difficulty in finding the right virtual assistant. Katie knew there must be an easy way to find and work with the right virtual assistant that wouldn’t be time consuming or expensive, and when she couldn’t find a solution she created Assistant Match. Since then, Katie has helped thousands of virtual assistants and business owners work together effectively.
Assistant Match was recommended on The Today Show as the top company for individuals wanting to work as virtual assistants. In addition to providing clients to virtual assistants, Katie was also committed to providing resources and support that allow VAs to succeed on their own.
Katie clearly saw that the most successful and fulfilled VAs seemed to be doing the same sort of activities, had similar mindsets, and were alike in their approach to business. The virtual assistants who struggled often failed in the similar spots and had identical questions and challenges. The Virtual Assistant Quickstart was created to share the information and best practices that successful virtual assistants knew. It walks virtual assistants through starting and running a virtual assistant practice. The content has been compiled from “best practices” of hundreds of virtual assistants and successful business owners in other fields.
The Virtual Assistant Quickstart was born as “live” teleclass. The self-study program followed so more people could have access at their own time and pace. The program has garnered rave reviews.
Katie has 15 years of training and curriculum design experience and is an international speaker and seminar leader on topics relating to virtual assistance, business growth, delegating, and increasing productivity. Katie currently lives in Maryland with her husband, and manages her businesses and team virtually from her home office.
